Retail Footfall & Heatmaps measures how people use a physical space: how many enter, where they go, how long they stay in each zone, and which displays they pass without stopping.
Store and mall teams get the numbers e-commerce takes for granted — traffic, conversion by zone, dwell — without surveys or clickers, from the cameras already on the ceiling.

Counting and tracking run on-premise and are anonymous by design: no faces are stored and no individual is identified. Only counts, paths, and heatmaps leave the store.Dashboards compare zones, days, and locations side by side, and exports plug into the reporting you already do for merchandising and staffing.

Accurate entry counting

Directional in and out counts at every entrance, with group and staff handling tuned per door during the pilot.

Zone heatmaps and dwell

See where shoppers slow down, which aisles they skip, and how long they stay in front of a display or promotion.

Traffic to conversion

Join footfall with POS totals to see conversion by hour, zone, and location, and plan staffing around real traffic.

Footfall questions

Is shopper data anonymous?

Yes. Footfall counts people as shapes moving through zones. No faces are stored, no one is identified, and nothing leaves the store except aggregate counts, paths, and heatmaps. This makes it suitable for malls and chains with strict privacy policies.

How accurate are the counts?

Accuracy depends on camera placement and height, so each entrance is calibrated against manual counts during the pilot before numbers go live. We report the measured accuracy per door rather than quoting one figure for every store.

What cameras do we need?

Existing overhead or angled CCTV with an RTSP/ONVIF stream usually works. Where an entrance has no usable view, a standard IP camera is added. Processing runs on a small on-premise unit in the store or a server for a mall.

How does this relate to DCI?

They are separate. DCI recognizes returning customers at the till with their consent. Footfall never identifies anyone. Stores can run either, or both, and the dashboards can be viewed together.
